This really depends on how many orders are in the queue and what you require. Turnaround can be as little as 24 hours. However, there are certain times of the year (e.g. Christmas) when it gets incredibly busy.
I aim to complete all caricatures within 5 working days although many are usually completed within 24 hours. If you have a rush job then please contact me as I always try to oblige.
Yes, and I strongly recommend that you do so. Framing is the best way to present your artwork. Framing is carried out by skilled framing professionals.
There are various options available including:
When you place an order, I will produce your artwork and then provide you with a digital sample of how your caricature will look when framed. You can swap the type of frame and mount. Once you are happy then the caricature can be framed according to your request.
Caricatures are professionally framed. These are not cheap high street frames.
Visit the framed caricatures page if you would like to see some examples.
Yes, just visit the gallery and testimonials pages. These pages contain just a few of the 1000s of caricatures produced over the years.
I am proud of the quality of work produced and go out of my way to accommodate customer requests.
A good head and shoulders shot is definitely required. A photo taken with a digitial camera is usually best. Blurry, small or dark photos are not good and usually mean that we can't complete the caricature. Please feel free to send more than 1 photo. Most people send 3 although this isn't a requirement.
Top tips for photos:
Front facing
Good lighting
Good expression
No sunglasses or hats (if possible)
Send the photo(s) at full size
Visit the Photo Advice page for examples.
No. You can specify any theme or ideas and as much detail as you wish when ordering.
This depends on what you order. If you order a print or canvas caricature then you will receive a physical print/canvas of your caricature. The canvas prints are delivered ready to hang. If you order a standard print caricature then you really need to consider framing.
If you order a digital print then you will receive a high-resolution jpg 300 ppi RGB image in 2:3 ratio which you can print up to about 1 metre on the longest side.
This depends on the package you select. Printed caricatures are delivered by Royal Mail. If you wish to receive a tracking number then please let me know and a courier can be used for an additional fee (currently £6 for mainland UK). Framed prints and canvas prints are sent via courier and a tracking number is provided.
If you order a digital caricature then you will receive this as an attachment to an email.
Payment can be made online or you can pay via bank transfer. I can also send you an invoice with a link to make online payment.
Online payment methods include:
Stripe
PayPal
Bank Transfer
Apple Pay
Visa
Mastercard
In all cases, your caricature will not be produced until payment has cleared.
From start to finish you deal with me directly…someone you can contact directly and who knows your order history intimately.
The likeness achieved is exceptional and the quality of the work is stunning. You will not find many caricature artists who produce work to this standard.
QUALITY: If you look closely at the quality of my artwork you will see that it includes a lot of detail that you do not get from some other companies. The price includes full body and background detail. My work is highly regarded – just read through some of the many 100s of letters and e-mails I receive from extremely happy customers.
TV, PRESS, NATIONAL SHOWS: I receive countless requests to attend national shows, functions, TV events etc. My artwork is highly regarded as being of top quality.
I have completed caricatures for some of the biggest companies in the world including: Qantas, Virgin, GE, Smiths, Tetley, McDonalds, Manchester Airport, Channel 4, Budweiser, Ernst & Young, and many more.
Highly unlikely…but…I will work until you are happy. Please note that if you require a redraw of the face because you were not happy with the photo you sent through (i.e. YOUR fault not mine) or you did not specify a facial feature correctly (e.g. eye colour) then this will attract a redraw fee and reprint and postage fee. Therefore, please ensure that you send through a photo that you are happy with and you describe the facial details and background details fully. If you do not specify background details such as clothing etc then I will just add whatever I think appropriate.
The answer is usually ‘YES”. Just contact me with your requirements and I will soon tell you how long it will take me to complete the work. However, if you are researching a gift for the future then please ORDER EARLY. Demand for my work is extremely high and I regularly have to turn away orders because the client has left it too late!
Yes. You will find examples in the gallery. I can either draw them as an additional ‘face’ within your main caricature or as a completely separate caricature i.e. a pet caricature.
Yes, I do.
In fact, that is how I started. My portraits are extremely detailed and take anywhere from 10 hours to over 100 hours depending on the complexity and, of course, the budget of the client.
I have been fortunate to create some stunning portraits over the years.
Portraits are especially popular as Christmas gifts.
If you intend on ordering a portrait rather than a caricature then please contact me early. Leave at least 8 weeks for production of your portrait.
Yes. However, the price is double the normal cost due to the increased time required. If you want a caricature with exaggerated features then please make sure you state this in the description.
